Bonn is a city known for its association with the famous composer Beethoven and his symphonies. When you visit Bonn, you can expect to encounter numerous sculptures of Beethoven, as the city pays homage to him. With a population of approximately 350,000 people, Bonn is a vibrant and lively city. Despite being overshadowed by the larger city of Cologne, Bonn has its own unique appeal.
Speaking personally, I find Bonn to be a charming and cozy city where time seems to stand still, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the surroundings. The presence of the Rhine River and the surrounding hills adds to the city's charm, which is one aspect I particularly appreciate. Another aspect I enjoy is its smaller size compared to neighboring Cologne, which is just a 30-minute drive away, offering more excitement when needed.
It's worth noting that Bonn once held significant importance in Germany. After the country was divided into East and West, the government was relocated from Berlin to Bonn, making it the capital of Germany at that time. To this day, many governmental buildings of presidential and similar importance can be found in Bonn.

Our favorite aspect of this hotel is definitely the breathtaking view from the room balcony, along with the convenience of a shared lounge and a terrace. The addition of hot stone massages adds an extra level of relaxation to our stay. Additionally, Fährhaus offers a fitness center, which is a great feature.
We highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who enjoy a pool and a supremely relaxing sauna experience. The availability of these amenities until midnight enhances the overall experience. With its 5-star rating and spa center, it is undoubtedly one of the best spa hotels in Germany.
This hotel is the perfect getaway for a weekend with your partner, offering an experience that goes beyond fabulous. Furthermore, the catering services in the sauna and hot spring area are of high quality and reasonably priced.
Since ThermenHotel is a recently built establishment, you will immediately notice its newness and pristine condition upon your arrival. While this hotel may be considered more on the simpler side, it has gained popularity due to its delightful spa facilities, making it an affordable and enjoyable option. Conveniently located next to the spa gardens, it is a mere 5-minute walk from Bad Godesberg Station. An added bonus is the terrace, which offers pleasant views of Theaterplatz square during the summer months.
Regarding the wellness area, we mentioned the presence of two types of saunas. The sauna experience was truly relaxing, and it was evident that the facilities were well-managed and kept clean, making it a great choice for a weekend getaway. Additionally, the hotel provides a gym facility that, while not large, is comfortable and sufficient for guests' needs.
