Does Bielefeld exists?

For those who stumble upon this article or hear about Bielefeld, there's an amusing joke that has been circulating for decades, claiming that the city is fictitious and doesn't actually exist. However, we want to put those rumors to rest and confirm that Bielefeld is indeed a real place. In fact, we encourage you to pay a visit and discover the delightful spa hotels that are available here.

Bielefeld, a charming city in Germany, may not be widely known among our friends or even among Germans due to its small size and relative distance from larger cities. However, we have uncovered a few hidden gems in terms of spa hotel options, and we believe they are worth sharing with you.

While Bielefeld may not be the top choice for many travelers, it serves as a convenient stopover for people like me who are exploring Europe by car. Moreover, the city is home to an international university that attracts numerous students. This adds a youthful and dynamic atmosphere to the place.

Personally, I find it quite enjoyable to spend a day in such locations that are not overly crowded. Bielefeld offers the perfect opportunity to relax, embark on a refreshing hike, and indulge in delectable cuisine. And what better way to unwind than by staying at hotels that provide spa facilities, including invigorating massages and rejuvenating jacuzzis? This is my ideal spa day, combining outdoor activities like hiking with a much-needed relaxation session at the spa.

Another reason why we find Bielefeld intriguing is its vibrant community. Although it may not be a bustling metropolis, the city is home to around 350,000 people. Despite its size, there are plenty of activities to engage in, ranging from visiting cinemas and exploring charming shopping streets to treating yourself to delightful bakeries and savoring excellent restaurants. And of course, one mustn't forget to try the local beer when in Germany; it's an absolute must.

So, whether you're wondering if this city trully exists discover the city by yourself! Find spa hotels, immerse yourself in its vibrant community, and relish in the delightful experiences it has to offer. You may just find yourself pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a city.

Kugelgasbehälter Bielefeld, a spherical structure that looks like it belongs in another world, offers a fantastic photo opportunity for avid photographers exploring the area.

Also known as the Gasometer Bielefeld, this prominent gas holder has a fascinating history. Constructed in 1912, it served as a storage facility for town gas, which was utilized for street lighting and residential heating during that time. It's remarkable to think about the bygone era when such technology was essential. The design itself is quite extraordinary, almost resembling an alien invention, adding to the intrigue of a city that has been playfully associated with non-existence.

The Gasometer Bielefeld boasts a distinctive architectural design, featuring a colossal steel sphere with an impressive diameter of approximately 50 meters (164 feet). It stands as both an industrial heritage landmark and an iconic symbol of Bielefeld's industrial past.

In recent years, this remarkable structure has been repurposed and transformed into a versatile event venue. Today, it plays host to exhibitions, concerts, performances, and a myriad of other cultural events. The spherical shape of the Gasometer provides an unparalleled setting, adding a touch of uniqueness and unforgettable ambiance to artistic and entertainment experiences held within its walls.
